Online sensation takes centre stage at the MAC

The online hit, Belfast Girls, will be live at the MAC 5-23 June, bringing favourite characters, Big Bernie Green, Michelle, Shankill Joe and Ma to the stage.

In this latest installment of the Facebook sensation, which has more than 100,000 followers, Big Bernie struggles with her new PIP assessment and Michelle peruses her American Dream, meanwhile Shankill Joe has big plans which could get in their way.

The comedy play, written by and starring Michael Mulcahy, is packed with classic tunes from the Belfast Girls Facebook page that will have you dancing in the aisles.

Produced by Joseph Rea Productions, the play also features Jazzmin McClure and Christina Nelson, star of I’ll Tell My Ma and Is That Too Hot, which also ran at the MAC.

“People kept asking me if I would do some stage work with Belfast Girls and when the opportunity came along to write a play I decided to give it a go. We ran it and it was a hit, so we have decided to give it one more go in the MAC before we move on to the next part of the story. So, get your tickets to this one for a brilliant night’s craic.”
