Update: 06 Jan 2019

It may only be a few seconds long, but HBO has just released the first official footage of the new season.

The clip features the meeting of two key characters - “Queen of Dragons” Daenerys Targaryen is greeted by Sansa Stark, at her home of Winterfell.

And if you don’t know already, the real life Winterfell (i.e. the original filming location) can be found at County Down’s Castle Ward - with additional castle scenes also shot at Moneymore and Magheramorne, County Antrim.

Heads up, there are a few other HBO series trailers in there…

Not long to go!
